“Inside almost everyone is an interior designer wanting to escape. Age and circumstances should not limit our journey of personal discovery and creative fulfilment. To fulfil those who want to unleash their hidden designer and discover their abilities, we have established The Susan Llewellyn Academy for Interior Design.” Susan Llewellyn, Founder
The Susan Llewellyn Academy of Interior Design - creative people who mean business
The Susan Llewellyn Academy of Interior Design has something different to offer. Not only is Susan Llewellyn a teacher of interior design, but has gained her experience, knowledge and business acumen as a professional working designer and business woman.
Gone are the days when to be successful in interior design you could rely solely on your creative talent. An interior designer has to pay close attention to how they run the business side of things in order to maximise their potential to succeed.
As part of our interior design courses we teach the business of design, equipping our students with valuable business knowledge that will provide them with the best opportunity of becoming successful professional interior designers. Part of this subject includes introductions to suppliers and networking opportunities. At The Susan Llewellyn Academy we don’t make unrealistic promises, because a student will have to use their own initiative to make the most of the skills we can show them and the knowledge we can pass on. We are certain, however, that teaching students about business provides a good grounding so that students have the confidence to get started in the interior design industry.
Interior design Classes,
courses and tours
Our Classes and courses have been devised for amateurs or professionals, indeed, anyone with a thirst for interior design knowledge. Based at the Draycott Education Centre just off the Kings Road in the heart of fashionable Chelsea in London, The Susan Llewellyn Academy of Interior Design creates an exciting opportunity for anyone wanting to learn about the fascinating world of interior design.
The Academy also organises inspirational and insightful tours abroad which include private viewings and entry into places not normally open to the public. Tours are available for anyone who is interested in a more cultural and informative view of these destinations, and not solely for course participants.
