Many thanks for your article on Hotel Arts. It looks great; I love the detail about Frank Ghery's family life - I had not heard that before. So glad you enjoyed your stay!

Thank you so much for a lovely day at Chiswick House. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it was a pleasure meeting Susan and Sara.

For those interested in interior design and particularly the Arts and Crafts style, visits to Emery Walker's House and William Morris's Coach House workshop are 'must see' visits.
The unique interior of the first, and the chance to see Morris's original design drawings at the second, are a real treat for both experienced and novice interior designers.

The knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides at both venues further help to bring this period of design to life.
A most enjoyable day. Thank you.

I really enjoyed our visit to Leighton house - right company and information. Many thanks. Also liked the house as an interesting example of a Victorian monument.

Architecture: simple, unassuming outside, functional and ordered inside, designed to suit the lifestyle of the individual owner, accommodating his collection of art, reflecting his personal rather eccentric taste; satisfying work conditions, most important area being the studio bathed in light; exotic surroundings for relaxation and social activities with details carefully supplementing the main features.

Interior design: unique with its oriental flair - Arabic entrance/courtyard – the beauty of its tiles, magical, yet peaceful, intellectual as well as warm and welcoming. Altogether homogeneous with its concept of geometrical (Pythagorean) order. I was moved by the bedroom’s starkness, a reflection of the deeper nature of Leighton as an artist striving for perfection in an intrinsic sense as well.

It is always interesting and enjoyable to go on a visit led by someone who is very knowledgeable about the subject. This visit to Chiswick House applied some of the principles of Palladian design to modern day decoration in addition to admiring the beautiful original schemes.

Very informative, learnt a great deal. Wish it were a little longer. Had a lovely day.
